Color between the lines

I’ve started laying down the lines I want the bodywork on the new build to follow. Nothing is built yet. This is all Photoshop, pure pixel pushing on top of a photo of the bike, a first attempt at deciding where things should sit.

Proportions and lines are what make or break these bikes. Two builds can use nearly the same parts and still land completely differently, depending on how the lines run and where the eye is pulled. Get that wrong and it looks like parts bolted together. Get it right and it looks like it was always meant to be that way.

One thing I know already. The frame stays visible. I don’t want to hide it under bodywork. Whatever shape ends up on this bike, it needs to work with the frame, not cover it up.

This side profile is a proportion test more than anything. It’s giving me a hint at what the tank might become, but that’s still open. There’s a lot left to figure out here, and most of it will get figured out slowly, by looking at it, changing it, looking again.
